IGP: Cops to record Justo’s statement in Thailand
(The Star) – Bukit Aman has obtained permission from Thai authorities to record Xavier Andre Justo’s (pic) statement.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said permission was obtained last week following a meeting between the two police forces.
“We expect to send our men to Thailand within the week.
“It will certainly assist our investigations into the leak of confidential banking documents,” he told pressmen on Wednesday.
He added that recording Justo’s statement was important to the investigation.
Justo is currently serving a three-year jail sentence in Thailand for trying to blackmail his former employer PetroSaudi International.
