Show proof of UiTM hospital construction cost, Rafizi told
Irmohizam Ibrahim says that despite being MP for the constituency where the hospital will sit, he himself has not seen the document.
(Free Malaysia Today) – Kuala Selangor MP Irmohizam Ibrahim has challenged Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli to prove that he has seen the document for the construction of a Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) hospital that costs RM8.2 billion to build.
“The document is supposed to be a government secret, and so it is strange that Rafizi has a copy of it.
“It is a secret between the institution and involved parties. That’s why I hope if it is true that he already had a look at the document, that he present it in the form of evidence to the public,” he told reporters in the Dewan Rakyat today.
Irmohizam explained that although he is the MP for the constituency where the hospital is to be built, he himself had not seen the said document but was only briefed about the project at UiTM’s Puncak Alam campus by university authorities.
Irmohizam also said that he was told by the university that the construction would cost a total RM599 million.
“I was briefed by UiTM three months ago before I went to perform the Haj,” he said, adding that Rafizi should come clean about the document to end speculation about the project’s cost once and for all.
