Dr Mahathir’s missed opportunity to debate the police
If that is how Husam wants to play the game then we can also allege that a Chinese gambling towkay is financing his political activities. He also doctored the Minutes of the Kelantan EXCO meeting that rejected the granting of a timber concession to the two DAP cousins from Perak. Furthermore, Husam was involved in negotiating with Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah for him to take over as Prime Minister.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

On Friday, a team of investigators from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) headquarters, Bukit Aman, visited former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Al-Bukhary Foundation Building to record his statement regarding what he said during the Bersih rally in late August 2015.
Dr Mahathir, however, refused to answer any of the questions that the police asked him. “They asked questions and I said I will not answer. I did not,” said Dr Mahathir.
That is actually quite a shame because before this Dr Mahathir had spoken endlessly regarding allegations of embezzlement involving Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. Hence Dr Mahathir missed a great opportunity to tell the police what he had said many times and have it placed on record.
When the most corrupt Selangor Menteri Besar, Muhammad son of Muhammad, (who was later forgiven for all his crimes when he left Umno to join the opposition), made a police report against me, I was summoned to the police station for my statement to be recorded.
Normally the 20 or so questions that the police ask you would take about an hour to complete. My interrogation, however, took eight hours. And it took eight hours because I debated every question that the police asked me and challenged them to prove that what I wrote was wrong.
After that marathon session they could not make a case against me. Many times during those eight hours the police officer recording my statement received a phone call from ‘above’ and by the way the officer responded I knew that the person on the other end of the line was the IGP, Musa Hassan, himself. In fact, the officer actually dropped a hint.
Dr Mahathir should have repeated all those allegations that he made against Najib and challenge the police to take action based on what he said. He should have said, “Yes, I have alleged that Najib stole RM42 billion and that RM2.6 billion of that has been transferred to his personal bank account. Now charge me in court and prove that I lied.”
Even if the police do decide to charge him for what he said, Dr Mahathir would be able to file his defence and in that defence he would be able to include all the allegations he made against Najib together with the evidence to support those allegations.
Now, however, the impression being created is that Dr Mahathir no longer stands by what he had earlier said and that he dares not repeat his allegations if what he says is going to be recorded by the police. This is actually quite surprising considering that Dr Mahathir has demanded that Najib reply to his questions and then he himself refuses to reply to questions that are posed to him.
Why does Dr Mahathir not want what he has to say to be placed on record? Is he worried that he would not be able to support these allegations with evidence?
Talking about that same matter, quite a number of opposition leaders are demanding that 1MDB’s President, Arul Kanda Kandasamy, debate Rafizi Ramli. Arul Kanda’s argument is that it was Tony Pua who challenged him to a debate and he had agreed to debate Tony Pua. So why now do a switch?
The reason they did a switch is, of course, quite obvious — because they do not want Tony Pua to be kicked out of the PAC. Tony Pua feels that only he and no others can do the job in the PAC and without him in the PAC the Commission is as good as dead.
But the Parliament Speaker did not only say that if Tony Pua debates the 1MDB issue then he would be kicked out of the PAC. The Speaker also said that Arul Kanda would be barred from testifying at the PAC hearing as well.
But the opposition still wants Arul Kanda to debate Rafizi Ramli in spite of that. They know that if Arul Kanda debates Rafizi Ramli then he would be barred from the PAC hearing. So why do they want Arul Kanda to be barred from the PAC hearing, which will be held in less than a month from now?
I am beginning to suspect that the opposition is worried that Arul Kanda has a good case and if he were allowed to testify at the PAC hearing then he would most likely demolish all those allegations and prove that what is being alleged are false. So better they try to block Arul Kanda from testifying at the PAC hearing.
On another matter, Husam Musa has made all sorts of allegations against the PAS President, Abdul Hadi Awang. Can Husam prove that all these allegations are true or does he expect Hadi to prove that the allegations are false?
If that is how Husam wants to play the game then we can also allege that a Chinese gambling towkay is financing his political activities. He also doctored the Minutes of the Kelantan EXCO meeting that rejected the granting of a timber concession to the two DAP cousins from Perak. Furthermore, Husam was involved in negotiating with Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah for him to take over as Prime Minister.
Yes, Husam is one mother of a slime-ball and scumbag. Many know of his misdeeds but we thought it was no point revealing them, which will only hurt the opposition in general and PAS in particular. But since Husam wants to play this game let us show him how to play it properly.
Maybe Husam can now reveal who that Chinese gambling towkay is who is giving him money. Over to you, Husam, the ball is now in your court.
