Umno has set up premier briefing session to explain 1MDB, TPPA and Budget 2016
(Bernama) – The Umno Information Bureau has organised a Premier Briefing Session on November 14 at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur to explain three main issues that has currently besieged the country.
The session being organised for the first time is expected to be attended by 191 Umno division chiefs and 1,000 Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO) from all over the country.
Umno Information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan said the three main issues are the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA) and Budget 2016.
“The three issues will be explained by 1MDB President and chief executive officer Arul Kanda Kandasamy, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Second Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, respectively.
“Each of them will be given 90 minutes to explain and answer questions through an open dialogue and I feel this is the best opportunity to seek clarification for the issues,” he said.
Ahmad was talking to reporters after presenting assets to the Volunteer Patrol Unit (SRS) and National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) loans to 63 students in the Pontian Parliamentary constituency, here today.
Ahmad said the session which starts at 8.45am was also open to opposition members who wished to know details about the three issues.
