What Husam is not revealing: the real reason why Pakatan Rakyat collapsed

So what Husam is saying is not true. And there are many other things he is not telling us. At the end of the day it was Hadi who disagreed with a unity government with Umno in both Perak and Selangor. But now they are saying it was Hadi who was behind it.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Husam Musa is singing like a canary and is ‘revealing’ all sorts of ‘secrets’ regarding PAS President Abdul Hadi Awang, which he has ‘kept hidden’ over these last seven years or so. The problem with revealing other people’s secrets is that others might also reveal your secrets — and that is what we are going to do now.

Husam is slandering the PAS President and is accusing him of all sorts of things. The latest revelation is regarding the ‘secret’ that it was PAS that wanted Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim removed and that Hadi wanted to make a deal with Umno.

Husam is talking a lot of poppycock so allow me to set the record straight.

The first allegation is that Hadi was not a team player and that he had betrayed Pakatan Rakyat. In short, Hadi is a traitor. We are told that PKR and DAP wanted Khalid removed and replaced with Anwar Ibrahim but Hadi did not support this move.

Okay, how can Hadi be a traitor for opposing the Kajang Move and at the same time Husam says that PAS was the one who wanted Khalid removed? It has to be one or the other. It cannot be both at the same time. So PAS wanted Khalid removed and at the same time opposed his removal.

A traitor means you sold out your comrades. It means you made a deal and then backtracked on the deal. Did Hadi really support the Kajang Move that PKR and DAP had mooted and then withdrew this support later? Most importantly, was DAP agreeable to the Kajang Move and did they approve it beforehand?

According to Lim Guan Eng in the news item below, DAP was not even aware of the Kajang Move. So was Guan Eng lying or is Husam lying instead?

***********************************************

(The Malaysian Insider, 28 January 2015) – DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng has denied knowing what is going on in Selangor following the resignation of Kajang assemblyman Lee Chin Cheh yesterday.

He said he was not informed of anything by PKR de facto leader and opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is now going to contest the Kajang by-election.

Lim said the resignation was also news to him.

“I was not told about the developments in Selangor about the resignation or the Menteri Besar’s post.”

“It is best for Anwar to answer. It is not right for me to talk or give views. My feelings on this matter are not important,” he told a press conference in Penang today.

***********************************************

Yes, that was what Guan Eng said. He knows nothing about the Kajang Move. So how could PKR and DAP have agreed to the Kajang Move and then PAS, which is alleged to have also agreed to it as well, is being called a traitor for agreeing to the Kajang Move and then backtracking on the agreement?

The impression being created is that this was a Pakatan Rakyat consensus (which means PKR, DAP and PAS had unanimously agreed to it) and then Hadi sold them out by doing a U-turn. Guan Eng, however, said differently. He said that DAP was not aware of the Kajang Move. And yet we have these DAP Chinese whacking Hadi and calling him all sorts of nasty names.

Then the PKR Secretary General, Saifuddin Nasution, publishes a thick dossier accusing Khalid of all sorts of misdeeds and transgressions. Khalid then sues Saifuddin and instead of defending what he said and showing us the evidence of these alleged misdeeds and transgressions, Saifuddin apologises and settles the case out of court.

And one of the allegations against Khalid is that he settled his suit against Bank Islam out of court (yes, Khalid sued Bank Islam and not the other way around as alleged). And that can only mean Khalid made a deal. If he did not make a deal then why settle the case out of court?

Saifuddin, too, settled his case with Khalid out of court. Did Saifuddin make a deal with Khalid? How much money did Khalid pay Saifuddin to extract his apology? Is it true what they say that Saifuddin received RM10 million in cash from Khalid? Or was it Saifuddin who paid Khalid RM10 million instead to get him to withdraw the case?

Maybe in the spirit of guilty until proven innocent, Saifuddin must prove that he did not receive RM10 million from Khalid (or did not pay Khalid RM10 million, whatever the case may be). Until then we must assume that someone paid someone RM10 million to settle this case out of court.

Apology

The next allegation against Hadi is that he betrayed Pakatan Rakyat by not blocking the amendment to the Kelantan Shariah law amendment of 1993. The 1993 amendment was done when Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat was the Menteri Besar of Kelantan. Yet they say that Nik Aziz was a great man while Hadi is a scumbag and slime ball. There must be something wrong with the way these people think.

Okay, never mind whether Hadi or Nik Aziz was the Kelantan Menteri Besar in 1993. What is important is: what was agreed ten years later in 2013, one month before the May general election? Well, have a look at the video and the Agreement that DAP and PAS signed below.

It was stated that PAS and DAP agree on 95% of the issues. They disagree on only 5% of the issues, in particular those regarding Islam. So they will focus on the 95% of the issues that they agree and will agree to disagree on the 5%. And now DAP and the Chinese supporters of DAP call Hadi a traitor, turncoat and whatnot. Apa lagi Cina DAP mahu?

Does DAP know that Husam tried to sell out Pakatan Rakyat in 2008? Yes, I bet they do not — or maybe they do but they are pretending they do not.

In March 2008, Pakatan Rakyat won five states, Perak being one of them. But there was a one week delay in forming the Perak State Government because DAP was giving the palace a lot of problems. The issue here was that DAP refused to observe palace protocol so the swearing in of the state government could not be held.

The DAP Perak people considered themselves socialists and not monarchists so they did not want to kowtow to the Sultan. And that became a problem because in an audience with the Sultan there are certain protocols and dress code to observe. And DAP refused to comply with that.

Meanwhile, Husam was in negotiation with Radzi Latif, an aid to Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, about PAS, PKR and Umno forming a unity government in Perak without DAP. Husam brought this matter to the attention of his boss, Nik Aziz, who told Husam to discuss it with the party president, Hadi. Nik Aziz would have no problem with the unity government if Hadi agrees with it.

Both Husam and Nik Aziz were not opposed to the idea of a unity government with Umno either in Perak or Selangor, or both states. But Hadi as party president must agree to it. Hadi, however, did not approve it so the unity government did not materialise. If it did then DAP would be out of the Perak government, and most likely in Selangor as well.

Eventually, after a week’s delay, the Pakatan Rakyat State Governments were formed in both Perak and Selangor. However, while PKR took the Menteri Besar post in Selangor, PKR could not take the Menteri Besar post in Perak. It was given to PAS.

And that was when Anwar Ibrahim persuaded the Umno State Assemblyman to cross over and join PKR with the promise that he would be made the new PKR Menteri Besar to replace the PAS Menteri Besar. However, DAP did not agree with this sole decision of PKR and the ex-Umno chap did not take over as Menteri Besar in the end. So he went back to Umno with two other PKR chaps and the Pakatan Rakyat Perak government collapsed.

So what Husam is saying is not true. And there are many other things he is not telling us. At the end of the day it was Hadi who disagreed with a unity government with Umno in both Perak and Selangor. But now they are saying it was Hadi who was behind it.

And are you telling me that we need to replace Barisan Nasional with this bunch of Pakatan Harapan shameless liars?
