PAC: A-G’s report states 1MDB and RM2.6b deposit are ‘separate issues’

(Malay Mail Online) – Investigations into 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) are not related to the RM2.6 billion deposited into the prime minister’s accounts in 2013, according to an interim report by the Auditor-General as revealed by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) today.

PAC chairman Datuk Hasan Arifin also asked that the public be informed of the distinction, when speaking to the press this afternoon.

“But I must say that 1MDB and (the) RM2.6 billion are separate issues… 1MDB has nothing to do with RM2.6 billion,” he said.

“Let the public know… they are separate issues..no relation.”
