Mat Sabu is spokesperson for DAP, says PAS
(The Malaysian Insider) – The statement by Amanah president Mohamad Sabu linking PAS with militant group Isis merely confirmed that he was a spokesperson for DAP, the Islamist party said today.
Its elections director Datuk Mustafa Ali said that it was also a strategy by DAP to continue to discredit PAS, which is now viewed as DAP’s number one enemy.
He added that according to inside sources, the statement by the Amanah president was not approved by many in the new party’s leadership but Mohamad Sabu went on and made it anyway.
Mustafa said that it appeared as if the president, popularly known as Mat Sabu, was more interested in his own political survival compared t,o that of Amanah, which he realised had lost steam and momentum after its launch.
“DAP under Lim Guan Eng wants total domination over Chinese voters, what more with the Sarawak elections coming up.
“Therefore Mat Sabu is trying to link Isos to scare Chinese voters.
“Rumour has it that Mat Sabu also has the assurance of Lim Guan Eng to be fielded in a safe seat in GE14 either under Amanah or DAP,” he said.
