Despite offers to make up, Muhyiddin still wants explanations from Najib
(The Malaysian Insider) – Despite offers of reconciliation, Umno president Datuk Seri Najib Razak still needs to resolve the issues that have been brought up by his deputy, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Muhyiddin said these issues were not his own, but were ones that had been brought up by the public.
“It’s good that the president said he is big-hearted but after this I want to know what are the steps he will take to resolve the problems that I have brought up,” Muhyiddin told reporters following the closing of the Umno General Assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre, in Kuala Lumpur.
Muhyiddin has butted heads with Najib over how the latter, who is also prime minister, handled the controversies of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) and the RM2.6 billion “donation” that was channelled into Najib’s personal bank accounts.
Muhyiddin and Najib had earlier shaken hands at the close of the Umno general assembly, as Najib delivered his winding up speech.
