(The Star) – The “agree to disagree” concept will not be carried over to Pakatan Harapan, in order to strengthen the Opposition coalition, says PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli (pic).

“There is no more concept of agreeing to disagree and it will no longer be used,” said Rafizi in his speech at the Pakatan Harapan leadership conference Saturday.

“If anyone within the party goes against the party, then they are going against this political agreement we are making today,” he said.

He added that the agreement, while respecting the principles of each individual party, would serve as the highest order.

“Whatever problems we have with another member in the party, will be resolved within the party.

“A mediation board will be formed to deal with such issues, but we request that members only bring it up only if the matter absolutely needs the attention of the party,” he said.

Rafizi then pointed out that each party within Pakatan Harapan would retain the right to make its own decisions, provided there was no conflict involved.
