DAP still a Chinese party, Perkasa tells Malays
(The Malaysian Insider) – Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali today warned Malays to be wary of DAP’s attempt to win over the community ahead of the 14th general election.
He insisted that DAP was essentially a chauvinistic and race-based party, after The Malaysian Insider reported today that the party was expected to field Malay candidates in Selangor state seats held by PAS.
“Even though DAP is diverse in terms of its constitution, as long as its leadership does not reflect the racial composition (of Malaysia), DAP is still a chauvinistic and Chinese party,” said Ibrahim at a press conference today.
