DAP launching new round of attacks on 1MDB
The only thing they never expected was that Malaysia Today would discover their plan and pre-empt their pre-emptive strike. So, in the end, Malaysia Today beat them to it and exposed them as frauds before they can launch their strike and call the Auditor General a fraud.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
DAP is about to launch a new round of attacks on 1MDB. The Auditor General’s report is about to be finalised but before it can even be completed DAP has already given a copy of this report to Sarawak Report.
It seems DAP has a mole in the Auditor General’s office, a Chinese lady, and it was this officer who smuggled out the Auditor General’s report, together with the company auditor’s report, and handed it to DAP.
The story they are going to spin is that there is not just one Auditor General’s report but there are, in fact, a few different variations of that report. They are going to say that the Auditor General’s report that is going to be shown to the public is going to be the ‘positive’ version while the actual/real Auditor General’s report, which is going to be ‘negative’, is going to be hidden from public view.
And this is the report that Sarawak Report is going to reveal — the negative Auditor General’s report that is supposed to be hidden from public view. Or at least this is the story they are going to tell us.
In that so-called ‘actual’ Auditor General’s report, they are going to exclude certain crucial documents such as the Board papers and so on, especially those related to approvals for various exercises. Then they are going to say that all these exercises were done without Board approval (and since the report they are going to reveal does not have these Board papers then this will be the ‘proof to support that allegation).
They are trying to pre-empt the Auditor General’s report so that when the report is released in the not too distant future and it presents a positive picture, they are going to say that this is the doctored report whereas the real report, which they released earlier, is the real one and is negative and not positive.
The problem is, because of this pre-emptive strike, the people are going to believe the leaked report, which is negative, instead of the official report, which is positive.
In the court of public opinion, people would believe the leaked report, published by Sarawak Report, instead of the real report, released by the Auditor General. And this is why they need to pre-empt the Auditor General’s report by coming out with this fake report and then warn the people that the Auditor General is going to release another version of the report, which is a fake and has been doctored to look good.
This would have the same affect as the Attorney General’s announcement. Because Sarawak Report had already published ‘the truth’, whatever the Attorney General says, therefore, has to be a lie.
The only thing they never expected was that Malaysia Today would discover their plan and pre-empt their pre-emptive strike. So, in the end, Malaysia Today beat them to it and exposed them as frauds before they can launch their strike and call the Auditor General a fraud.
