MEDICAL FRATERNITY MOURNS THE DEATH OF DR. NAGINDER SINGH

Some call it the rites of passage.

But I like to think of life as a boundless stretch of road where time is not a passage, but a presence. And when that presence is no longer felt, a new journey begins – a journey of greatness, with treasures to satiate the soul both subtle and pure.

And former Director of Putrajaya Hospital Dr. Naginder Singh began that journey on the 17th of March 2016 at the age of 66, leaving behind his wife, Jeswant Kaur. A well accomplished surgeon, Dr. Naginder had also served as Treasurer of the Sungai Way Rotary Club, a source close to the family revealed today.

Dr. Naginder graduated from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1980. Following a 25 year stint with the Ministry of Health, Dr. Naginder went on to join StemLife in November 2007 and served as the company’s Laboratory Director. While there, he played an active role in monitoring the company’s quality initiatives towards achieving ISO 9001:2005 and the Laboratory ISO 15189 compliances.

Dr. Naginder’s remains were cremated yesterday, the 19th of March 2016, at the Chinese Crematorium at Kg. Tunku, Petaling Jaya. Those who wish to participate in prayers in the late surgeon’s honour may do so at the Gurdwara Sahib in Petaling Jaya on the 26th of March 2016 from 5 pm – 7 pm.

We at Malaysia Today wish our heartfelt condolences to Mdm Jeswant Kaur and offer her a peaceful prayer in her moment of grief.

Raggie Jessy
