When Umno equates dissension with disloyalty
Kijal assemblyman Ahmad Said has been denied his constituency allocations and treated like an opposition rep for having moved a no-confidence against the Terengganu menteri besar.

Leadership by example was one of the values propagated during the administration of former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad. The present administration of Prime Minister Najib Razak is also doing the same, but without announcing it. Anyone who fails to toe the party line will face punishment.
Following Umno supreme council’s decision to suspend Muhyiddin Yassin as party deputy president, the Umno-led Terengganu state government has taken a cue by going hard on dissenters, to the extent of treating them as opposition.
A New Straits Times report over the weekend revealed that former state menteri besar and Kijal assemblyman Ahmad Said will no longer receive his annual constituency allocation of RM542,000.
Of the amount, RM492,852 was meant for general programmes for the next six months and another RM50,000 for youth programmes.
The suspension of constituency allocation funds was effective March 9 with the approval of Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.
