Cops rubbish allegations made by Australian Broadcasting Corporation against Najib

(The Star) – Police have rubbished the allegations made by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic) described the allegations in ABC’s Four Corners programme as “vengeful and trying to shame Malaysia in the eyes of the world.”

“Their journalists have a vendetta against the country’s leader after they were detained in Sarawak.”

“There is no connection linking the Prime Minister with the deaths of several people as claimed by Four Corners,” Khalid told reporters after officiating a meeting of the police union held here.

He was asked to comment on the programme, which was aired recently and has since gone viral on social networking sites.

Four Corners made several allegation linking Najib to several high profile deaths including Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) prosecution officer Kevin Morais, Ambank founder Hussain Najadi, and Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu.
