The Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) has granted an extension of time until 30 September 2016 for 1MDB.

(FMT) – 1MDB was unable to prepare its financial statements for audit pending the return of the relevant financial documents seized during a raid on 8 July 2015, said the company in a statement.

Accordingly, said 1MDB, the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM), has granted an extension of time until 30 September 2016 for 1MDB to hold its AGM and approve its audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2015.

Elsewhere, the statement said that TRX City Sdn Bhd (formerly 1MDB Real Estate Sdn Bhd) together with its subsidiaries, and Edra Global Energy Berhad, have held AGMs to approve audited financial statements for the financial year ended 31 March 2015.

The AGMs were held within the previously extended deadline of 31 March 2016 and the audited financial statements have been filed with CCM, said 1MDB in the statement. “These two companies form the vast majority of assets and represent all of the operating business activities of 1MDB.”
