Shocking! Najib stole RM50 billion of 1MDB’s money!
Anyway, before I go I want to ask you to watch this space. It seems Lim Kit Siang has met Mahathir to get help to neutralise the MACC so that Lim Guan Eng can be let off the hook with the MACC announcing that the investigation has shown there was no crime committed and the file will be stamped ‘NFA’ (no further action). In return, Kit Siang will continue to whack 1MDB and the PAC report on 1MDB and will say that DAP cannot accept the findings of the PAC.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is the adviser to 1MDB. That means Najib and not those below him should be punished for whatever happened in 1MDB. This is because the Board, managers and executives of 1MDB would have no choice but to take the advise of the adviser. Hence the adviser, Najib, should be the one who is punished if anything happens to 1MDB.
That is actually a very interesting prognosis. I remember at one time, before the creation of the Malayan Union in 1946 and the creation of the Federation of Malaya in 1948, when the British were advisers to the Malay Rulers.
The British then advised the Rulers to agree to the creation of the Malayan Union and to sign the document. So the Rulers did as the British advisers had advised them.
Mahathir now says that the Rulers sold out the Malays and betrayed the Malays and so on. But should it not be the British advisers who must take the blame rather than the Malay Rulers who just listened to the advise of the British advisers? I mean have you not heard the term ‘British gunboat diplomacy’?
So I am perplexed as to why Mahathir keeps whacking the Malay Rulers and accuse them of betrayal and allege that they sold out the Malays and the country. The Rulers just acted on advise and the advise the British gave them was that the Malayan Union was what the British wanted and the Rulers really have no choice but to just agree to it.
And then Mahathir says that Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi can take over from him as the adviser to Petronas because no one listens to the advice of the adviser anyway. Hence the post of adviser to Petronas is merely a ceremonial post with no real executive powers. You can advice till your throat runs dry and you turn blue in the face but no one is going to listen to you.
Mahathir really needs to remember what he says because each time he opens his mouth he comes out with a different storyline.
I remember on 1st September 1998 when Mahathir explained that he had to sack Anwar Ibrahim because his deputy was involved in sexual misconduct. Mahathir then went into detail explaining the whole thing complete with hand gestures to mimic Anwar masturbating his male sex partner as he was having anal sex with him.
And mind you, this was on prime time TV during the 8.00pm news. They should have given an X-rating for the news that night. The best part was the hand gesture demonstrating Anwar masturbating the dick of his sex partner. I almost fell off my chair in shock. I mean can you believe a Prime Minister doing that on the 8.00pm news?
Anyway, not long after he retired on 30th October 2003, Mahathir gave an interview with a Japanese newspaper and he was asked (amongst others) as to why he sacked Anwar. And this was Mahathir’s reply:
Mahathir said he agreed to bring Anwar into Umno to prevent him from going to PAS, where he would then become a huge problem for Umno. Mahathir thought that once Anwar was in Umno they could control him.
However, they found out they could not control him. In fact, Mahathir said, Anwar was secretly plotting behind his back to oust him. So he had no choice but to get rid of Anwar.
So there you have it. From Mahathir’s own mouth he told the Japanese newspaper why he brought Anwar into Umno (in 1982) and why he had to get rid of him 16 years later (in 1998). There was no mention of sexual misconduct at all. And this is exactly the same story that the late Ustaz Fadzil Muhammad Noor and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah told me. Hence Mahathir’s post-retirement story tallies.
So that means Mahathir did not get rid of Anwar because of his sexual misconduct. According to Tun Mohammed Hanif Omar who was the IGP for 20 years from 1974 to 1994, the police already knew about Anwar’ sexual misconduct from the beginning and that Mahathir also knew about it.
In short, if sexual misconduct was the reason why Mahathir got rid of Anwar, then Anwar would not have stayed in Umno for 16 years and would not have gone up to become the number two. The police and Mahathir knew about Anwar’s sexual activities even back in the 1980s.
So what Mahathir told the Japanese newspaper during that post-retirement interview would be the correct version — which is Mahathir found he could not control Anwar and Anwar had become a threat to him.
And was that not the same reason why Mahathir got rid of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and also the reason why he wants to get rid of Najib and why he cannot agree to Ku Li taking over? It’s all about he does not want anyone he cannot control.
Oh, and now Mahathir says that Najib stole RM50 billion or probably more than RM50 billion from 1MDB and that the amount is not just RM42 billion like he had originally thought. And I am sure Sarawak Report and The Wall Street Journal are soon going to publish ‘exclusive’ stories and ‘leaked’ secret reports from ‘unnamed sources’ to back up this latest allegation while ABC will probably produce a special documentary on this story.

(Hornbill Unleashed) – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad admitted today to wrongly claiming that RM42 billion was missing from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
The former prime minister said, however, that his error was in understating the amount that he previously claimed had “vanished” from the state investment firm.
“The report says its not RM42 billion; it’s actually RM50 billion, more than that, so I was wrong because I gave a smaller figure,” he said, referring to the Public Accounts Committee report on 1MDB published today.
“It’s actually RM50 billion and I think RM50 billion also is not correct, there could be more,” he said when he spoke to reporters after attending a closed door event at the Universiti Malaya Alumni Clubhouse.
He added that the former chief executive of 1MDB, whom the PAC said should be investigated for the mismanagement identified, was a scapegoat.
Dr Mahathir insisted that the ultimate responsibility should be with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
“And anything that happens to 1MDB he would know because although he is named the advisor but actually… nothing can be done without his agreement so why punish this man?” Dr Mahathir said.
Najib said earlier today that the PAC report disproved Dr Mahathir’s previous allegation that RM42 billion was missing from 1MDB.
The PAC in its report also urged the authorities to investigate former 1MDB CEO Datuk Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi over weaknesses in the company’s management.
In the report, the panel said 1MDB’s board of directors failed in their responsibilities to the company and its shareholders by allowing its management to make decisions that were not in line with good accounting practices.
Shahrir denied this evening that any wrongdoing or crime took place during his tenure.
