From The Big Conspiracy to A Big Slap Theory

Tan Seng Giaw

DAP’s veteran leader Dr. Tan Seng Giaw, who is also the vice-chairman of the Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC) entrusted to investigate the wrong-doings of 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), has clearly and repeatedly said in both English and Bahasa Malaysia that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is not accountable for the misappropriations involving 1MDB. After a long arduous journey, the truth has finally prevailed. It all makes sense now. The Wall Street Journal recently admitted that the funds in Najib’s personal bank account were donations from the Middle-East and today PAC has reaffirmed that none of the money transacted to Najib is from 1MDB. What I thought was a loud thunder was actually the sound of a tight slap to all the Opposition supporters who made their own conclusions that Najib has taken money from 1MDB.

How fitting it is that a DAP veteran is saying Najib is not guilty. After all the soap opera, we are told something we already knew. Arul Kanda told us long ago that 1MDB’s mess was internally inflicted due to poor management. Today, after all the twists and turns the conclusion is exactly as what Arul said in the distant past. I hope all those ‘wannabe’ Mulders and Scullys  in the Opposition resign now as again they are proven wrong. It is funny how cyber-troopers and keyboard warriors now allege that Dr. Tan received some ‘dedak’ and should resign. It just shows the quality of people in DAP. If the allegations by DAP’s cyber-troopers are true, then it is all the more reason DAP should not form the government as they are filled of people with no integrity.

I actually like Tony Pua’s “ministerially accountable” comment on Najib. How I wish Tony walk the talk instead of always talking the talk. Tony should push for his accountability theory within DAP itself. With the Taman Manggis scandal, senseless feasibility study, the world’s most expensive bicycle lane that is only used by pedestrians, continuous destruction of villages for high-rise condominiums and many more mind-boggling actions, Lim Guan Eng should be held ministerially accountable and resign.

I urge Tony to lead the way by example within his own party. Tony should also push for the resignation of Azmin Ali on the basis of ministerial accountability after the Darul Ehsan Investment Group (DEIG) scandal, the world’s most expensive paint job of the Kota Darul Ehsan arch on Federal Highway, and the DASH highway issue. Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail should also resign as the Pakatan head as she should be held accountable for the various failures of the Opposition.

Will Tony walk the talk? The obvious answer is no. What else can you expect from a bunch of hypocrites who allege malpractice but are sleeping with the most evil person in the history of Malaysia. The Opposition is such a disastrous mix that has more turns than the world’s deadliest whirlwind. PKR is about Save Anwar, Pakatun is about Save Mahathir, DAP is about Save Guan Eng, and Amanah is about Save Ourselves. Their recipe would even astound Gordon Ramsay. Hell’s Kitchen is like a sanctum compared to the platform of the Opposition. It is a no-brainer why Lim Kit Siang is the biggest flop in the world, having failed to oust the Barisan Nasional government despite trying for almost half a century.
