Is Waythamoorthy going to tell Clare Rewcastle Brown to butt out of Malaysian politics?

Is Moorthy going to say the same thing to foreigner Clare Rewcastle Brown? Or can foreigner Clare get involved in Malaysian politics because she is white while all non-whites or ‘blacks’ are barred from Malaysian politics?

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

I find it most amusing when the Pakatuns tell me to stop writing about Malaysian politics and that if I wish to do so then I should return to Malaysia and not do it from the UK.

Then we have one million Malaysians living overseas and many of them are involved in SABM, Friends of Pakatan, Bersih, Kelab PAS, Kelab Umno, etc. They hold rallies, protests, demonstrations and talks/ceramah in all these foreign countries that they live, work or study in.

Yet no one tells them off and asks them to return to Malaysia if they want to be involved in Malaysian politics and to not do it from overseas.

Yes, that is right, only Raja Petra Kamarudin must return to Malaysia if he wants to write about Malaysian politics. The rest of the one million Malaysians staying overseas need not do that.

Then we have the Hindraf Chairman, P. Waythamoorthy, telling foreigner Zakir Naik to butt out of Malaysian politics. Is Moorthy going to say the same thing to foreigner Clare Rewcastle Brown? Or can foreigner Clare get involved in Malaysian politics because she is white while all non-whites or ‘blacks’ are barred from Malaysian politics?

Butt out of local politics,Waythamoorthy tells Zakir

(Free Malaysia Today) – Controversial preacher Zakir Naik has been accused of meddling in Malaysia’s political process with his statement about PAS and Umno uniting as a result of Hindraf’s attacks on him.

In a media statement today, Hindraf Chairman P Waythamoorthy told Zakir not to drag politicians into the quarrel between them.

He was referring to remarks Zakir reportedly made at a forum in Jertih last night. Berita Harian Online quoted the preacher as saying: “I would like to thank Hindraf for giving me free publicity. Now, I have more people coming to my events to hear me talk. I am also thankful that these attacks have united the two Muslim political parties in the country – Umno and PAS. When the enemies come, Muslims unite.”

Waytha said Malaysians had coexisted in harmony for the past 60 years.

“Zakir’s statement describing Hindraf as an enemy to unite Umno and PAS shows his utter stupidity, arrogance and ignorance of the concept of coexistence in Malaysia,” he said.

“While Hindraf appreciates Zakir’s agreement to adhere to the government’s instructions not to speak on the Hindu religion, we wish to caution him that we will not condone his denigrating the Hindus or people of any religion for that matter.”

He claimed that Hindraf had a long track record of speaking up for all religions.

Waytha also reminded Zakir that there were Malaysian laws against religious insults and the instilling of religious hatred.

“We offer our free legal advice to him so that he could be quickly apprised of the laws of this land before he creates a blunder by breaking Malaysian laws.”

He took Zakir to task for calling Hindraf the enemy, saying “no religious preacher on earth would look at another person of a different faith as an enemy just because his beliefs and views differ.”

“There should be mutual respect for each others’ beliefs. It is obvious he is a common academic without higher spiritual understanding of the law of nature, which is God’s law.”
