New MB for Terengganu expected
(FMT) – Palace sources say Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif’s position is untenable.
Terengganu will likely see a new menteri besar being named as Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman is expected to be replaced.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Razif had courted the displeasure of the state palace, and had since been stripped of his state titles.
Quoting sources, Sin Chew Daily said the change in MB was almost certain and that Prime Minister Najib Razak’s planned meeting with the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin was to discuss Razif’s successor.
It was also claimed in the report that the palace was in favour of Telemong assemblyman Rozi Mamat becoming MB, although it was understood Umno division leaders preferred Permaisuri assemblyman Mohamad Jidin.
