Lim Kit Siang Should Debate Arul Kanda Kandasamy Over 1MDB

The pressure of the job must be taking its toll on Lim Kit Siang because now he wants to debate 1MDB with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najab Razak.

This is another case of the lost memo.  Still Tony Pua who served on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and signed off on its findings should have told LKS the results of the findings.

It seems that Lim believes that the Prime Minister was intricately involved with the everyday operation of 1Malaysia Development Berhad and therefore the best person to debate with concerning it.

In truth; if LKS wants to understand the finer details of the 1MDB it would be wise to speak the person most knowledgeable it.

The individual with the most knowledge and is in the position to transmit that knowledge is Arul Kanda Kandasamy!  He would be the correct person to sit and discuss 1MDB while having tea as young Lim is so fond of offering!

Of course LKS knows that Arul Kanda Kandasamy is the correct person to hold a debate with over this issue.  Maybe the whole idea of wanting to debate the Prime Minister is an attempt to ask about the fine details of 1MDB which the Prime Minister does not have at his fingertips.  After all, he has an entire nation to manage.

If LKS really wants answers (and of course he does), he should go to the most up to date source for that information and not waste his or the Prime Minister’s time.

Here is a novel thought; Lim Kit Siang could obtain a copy of the PAC findings and search for what he is looking to learn.  If what he is looking for is not contained in the document; he or Tony Pua can send an email not to the Prime Minister office, but to Arul Kanda Kandasamy.

All in all the timing of the request for a debate is quite suspect as the nation’s eyes are more focused on the election in Sarawak.  So could the Sarawak election in fact be why Lim wants to resurrect an issue which is becoming more and more yesterday’s news!
