PAS to Azmin Ali: Come join the ‘third force’
(The Star) – PAS vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah (pic) has a counter proposal for PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali – come join the third force.
Mohd Amar said PKR should join hands with third opposition bloc, comprising PAS and Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia, in order to defeat Barisan Nasional.
“If this becomes a reality, it will strengthen the third bloc to face BN in the 14th general election,” he said.
The PAS and Ikatan partnership is considered a third major political force after Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan, which comprised DAP, PKR and PAS’ splinter group Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).
Mohd Amar noted that PAS had made a stand not to be involved with Amanah or DAP in its future political undertakings.
Mohd Amar was commenting on Azmin’s statement that PKR was trying to talk PAS into joining Pakatan Harapan.
Azmin, the Selangor mentri besar, said the PKR supreme council collectively passed a resolution to open the membership of Pakatan Harapan to other parties in order to strengthen the opposition.
