Mahathir; The Straw That Breaks The Camel’s Back!

Have you ever looked at a camel and wondered what the purpose is for their humps?

Many people mistakenly believe that they are some sort of portable reservoir which they can use during those long walks serene walks in the desert!

Actually, camels use the hump as nourishment when food is scarce.  If the camel uses the fat inside the hump, it will become limp and droop down.

For the purpose of this blog post, the camel symbolizes the opposition and the two humps are the two major parties (DAP and PKR) of the opposition.

Imagine a headless opposition camel meandering along in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) desert looking for anything which would rejuvenate it for the march (elections) ahead of them.

The previous de facto head (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) lost his bearing under the evening sky and before he knew it, he was padlocked in Sungai Buloh.  Attempts to make his wife Datuk Wan Azizah into a leader has to date not worked out as she has become more accustomed to her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and Japanese hand fan carrier than someone who can carry the weight of a political party!  Still, with Wan Azizah as Anwar’s mouth piece, eyes and ears, it works out well for him as it keeps him in the loop; for now.

When consider a replacement; Anwar could have easily said that he wanted Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali to head the opposition, but internally he knew that if he turned over the opposition party reigns to Azmin, he (Anwar) would be hard pressed to wrestle control back from his former protégé!

In addition, the Lims (Lim Kit Siang and Lim Guan Eng) of the DAP did and do not want someone (Malay) over the opposition that they could not manipulate.  So for them the obvious choice at the time was Wan Azizah as she was already predisposed to following orders!

The Pakatan Harapan (PH) the realigned opposition camel envisioned an oasis named Putrajaya where they can take advantage of all the spoils the nation (Malaysia) has to offer.

Their only problem is the democratically elected leader of the land Datuk Seri Najib Razak stands between them and the oasis!  As such, the opposition camel had to devise a plot to remove the obstacle (Prime Minister Najib Razak) before them.
