Voting Amanah is voting DAP, Mustafa tells PAS members

(The Star) – A vote for Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) in the two upcoming by-elections is a vote for DAP, says PAS central election director Datuk Mustafa Ali (pic).

Mustafa said a three-way fight has occurred with PAS and Amanah going against Barisan Nasional in the parliamentary polls.

“It was never like this before, it was always a one on one fight, but now it is three-cornered.

“This time there is another party, PAN (Amanah) which is funded by DAP.

“So support for PAN means support for DAP,” he said in his winding-up speech at the annual general assembly.

He said it appears that Amanah “is most keen to contest against PAS.”

“And we have been contesting against Barisan Nasional for years on end,” he noted.

Mustafa reiterated that PAS has maintained a good relationship with PKR, a partner of Amanah in Pakatan Harapan.

“PKR is still with us and we will see. This by-election will be the test and it is a new political scenario.

“We have faced so many challenges over 60 years. All we need is high commitment from all members of the party, the same way we did for the Sarawak state election,” he added.

He said the elders in the party were appreciative of the opinions from the youth and Muslimat wings in the party.

The by-elections in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar will on June 18.
