Why is the opposition treating Mahathir like a prostitute?

The opposition just wants to use Mahathir like what you would do to a prostitute. They do not want Mahathir to be a member of one of their parties. That is why they have never invited Mahathir to join their party. He is not good enough for them.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Zaid Ibrahim said the de facto Opposition Leader, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, would gladly take over as the Opposition Leader once electoral reforms are implemented. That sounds a bit corny at best and can be translated to mean that Mahathir is not interested to be an official member of the opposition. And that can only mean because he wants to leave the door open for him to return to Umno later.

First of all, Mahathir is already the Opposition Leader. The only thing is he is the unofficial or de facto Opposition Leader because he is not a member of any political party, in particular of one of the opposition parties. In other words, Mahathir is only sleeping with the opposition and does not have a halal relationship with them.

Secondly, if electoral reforms can be implemented without Mahathir, why would the opposition need Mahathir later once electoral reforms are implemented? It is like an organisation offering you a job of CEO to help turn the company around and you reply: turn the company around first and I will join you after that. Why would they still need you if the company can be turned around without your help?

Thirdly, Mahathir said his aim is merely to save Malaysia (and not to oust Najib so that he can make Mukhriz the Deputy Prime Minister). He wants to lead Malaysians and the opposition so that he can save Malaysia. However, he will not join the opposition. He just wants to be the de facto Opposition Leader. This demonstrates a very low level of commitment.

Finally, and even more important, is the issue of whether the opposition wants Mahathir. No doubt the opposition is very happy to use Mahathir to fight Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Umno. But they do not want Mahathir as their member because he is bad news and will actually be very negative for the opposition.

In other words, they are treating Mahathir like a prostitute. A prostitute is someone you just want to have sex with. But you do not want to marry a prostitute and make her your wife. It is a purely commercial arrangement. So the opposition just wants to use Mahathir but does not really want to have a halal relationship with him.

Hence it is important that the opposition invite Mahathir to become a member of one of the Pakatan Harapan parties. If not then the message they would be sending to Malaysians is that Mahathir is only good enough to be used but not good enough to become a member of the opposition parties. In fact, you not only just want to screw a prostitute but you will also use a condom when you do so because you regard a prostitute as dirty and someone who can give you diseases.

Is that all Mahathir is to the opposition?
