(The Star) – PAN has endorsed former Umno deputy president and deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to become the new Opposition leader for Pakatan Harapan.

The party’s central committee member, Mazlan Aliman, said there were discussions within the party to propose the appointment to the rest of Pakatan Harapan.

“It was agreed that we pick Muhyiddin as the new Opposition leaderas Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is serving time in prison.

“He has the experience and will strengthen us.

PAN (Amanah) is not the only Pakatan member who wants to coopt Muhyiddin into its leadership fold. PKR is also super keen.

(MMO) – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is considering joining Pakatan Harapan now that he is no longer with Umno, according to a senior PKR leader who met the former deputy prime minister last week.

PKR chief parliamentary whip Datuk Johari Abdul said he met Muhyiddin on Tuesday with the party’s secretary-general, Rafizi Ramli, and co-elections director, Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, and the subject of the ex-Umno deputy president’s political future was broached.

We all know that PKR is a kaki buka kang kang party, a taxi sapu so to speak, but I’m surprised, nay, totally gobsmacked by PAN’s proposal to make Moody the Pakatan leader. In this regard PAN is far worse or more moronic than PKR.

Quite frankly, I’m not sure of both PAN and PKR’s logic (or lack of) in wanting an UMNO discarded man who was seen as incompetent in his old party and who in recent times has also accumulated alleged salacious steamy stories about his personal life.

To wit, Muhyiddin would politically be considered as damaged goods. That is apart from (or on top of) his old UMNO self, an already less than admirable past. So why the f**k do they even want him, let alone as the Pakatan leader?
