Turkish Attempted Coup D’état Causes Pakatan Harapan To Spin Damage Control!
The Malaysian Observer
Many people have been following the events which were playing out in Turkey over the last 24 hours which saw an Opposition force (military) attempt a coup d’état against the elected government headed by President Tayyip Erdogan.
In this instance, the military also used scare tactics to in an attempt to get the Turkish people to acquiesce with what they were trying to do, even to the point of having the TV stations broadcast the ‘their’ (Opposition) message to the people. The coup plotters broadcasted a message that a ‘peace council’ would save the population.
The Turkish coup plotters message seemed to parallel what those who are involved with a Malaysia style coup are sending out; ‘Save Malaysia’.
Malaysians are all too familiar with seeing Lim Kit Siang, Tun Mahathir, Azmin Ali, Muhyiddin Yassin and cohorts seated in a show of their ‘peace council’ in front of reporters and TV cameras. Their theme was to ‘Save Malaysia’ and their weapons of choice are not guns, bullets and tanks, but fear, lies, and fabrications all in an attempt to convince the rakyat that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak should step down from office.
What the Opposition here is no different than what those in Turkey attempted; the overthrow of a democratically elected government. The Opposition’s desire in both cases are self serving and had little if anything for the well being of the people. When a coup d’état takes place it is usually because a group wants what another group has. When it comes to Malaysia, the rakyat is becoming more aware of the motives behind the DAP, Mahathir and cohorts desire to overthrow Prime Minister Najib Razak.
In Turkey’s case the coup failed as the people rejected the message that the Opposition to the government had broadcasted. Likewise in Malaysia the rakyat has shown their rejection to the messages and propaganda that the Opposition has been bringing forth.
Sarawak, Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar were resounding rejections of the Opposition (Pakatan Harapan) and Tun Mahathir. The people are seeing through the attempts that they (Opposition and Tun Mahathir) are making to supplant the elected government. The Rakyat also sees the plotters are trying to go into overdrive as GE14 is quickly approaching.
There is a saying which goes if someone seems to be in a hurry to sell you something, it is better to step back and examine the product carefully!
They rakyat is stepping back from Pakatan Harapan (Opposition) and Tun Mahathir and they are realising that what they are trying to get the public to buy isn’t all that they are advertising it to be.
Now those who a few years ago who thought a change might be good are realizing that the government is working and more importantly; the government is working for the people.
The Turkish people realise that same thing and more importantly, they did not want a change to a democratically elected government to take place in an undemocratically.
This is probably why Pakatan Harapan came out with their statement (below).
