PAS and Ikatan form Gagasan
(The Star) – PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has announced a new pact between PAS and Parti Ikatan Bangsa Malaysia (Ikatan) known as Gagasan Sejahtera (Gagasan).
“This shall be a better alternative for people,” said Hadi after chairing a meeting at the PAS headquarters on Saturday which was also attended by Ikatan President Tan Sri Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.
He added that Gagasan would practice a harmonious and matured political culture, saying that “Gagasan” was decided in a joint committee between PAS and Ikatan on Aug 2.
On a separate matter, Hadi also announced that PAS has appointed senior lawyers to represent them in a lawsuit against the Sarawak Report.
