New party to uplift the Malays or invite foreign powers?
(Malaysia Outlook) – Tunku Abdul Aziz, former special advisor to United Nations secretary general Kofi Anan posed a question why there are more Malay parties mushrooming?
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia formation is considered as ‘racing’ to compete with other existing parties or an attempt to invite foreign powers to meddle into local affairs?
An editorial article published in Mingguan Malaysia today opinioned that the former DAP vice president Tunku Aziz believes more Malay parties are not doing good and disuniting the community. Even interesting the foreign powers are more interested with our country.
“More Malay parties are created; in the long run no Malay party will have the supremacy.
“Where these small parties come from? Weren’t they created after leaders’ breakaway from Umno.
“Why not unite to strengthen Umno.”
The issue is the one who created the new party is demeaning Umno and not the government of the day.
“When Umno is weak, the Malays and the rest of the people will be the biggest loser,” Tunku Aziz pointed out.
Is it true the Malay is ‘minority’ because of more parties created although they dominate 60 per cent of the country’s population?
Try to Google, since Ustaz Ahmad Fuad Hassan left Umno in 1953 to form Pas; Dr Mahathir-Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah crisis in 1987, Anwar-Ibrahim-Mahathir infighting led to Parti Keadilan formation.
