Be wary of unethical 1MDB spins by foreign media
(Malaysia Outlook) – Former DAP vice president Tunku Abdul Aziz has slammed foreign media for unethically spinning on the 1Malaysia Development (1MDB) issue.
Addressing his concern to reporters, Tunku Aziz claimed Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and New York Times were the same media which vehemently wrote against former Iraq leader Saddam Hussin for having ‘weapons of mass destruction’ (WMD).
The foreign media mounting pressure on Saddam Hussin had resulted on his government toppled by US and its allies military invasion.
“When the United Nations Inspectorate visited Iraq and found no WMD, yet we had to swallow the reality.
“Today the same foreign media is trying to take another feat against the sovereignty of our country,” he said.
He urged the Malaysians to have a broader perspective to weigh the truth and have a fair judgment in any issue before bluntly drawing into any conclusion.
