Swear on holy Quran if you dare, Mukhriz – ex-aide
Haris (left) has dared Muhriz to swear on the holy Quran to prove that he never knew the sabotage attempt on IPO-1MDB and was never interested to overthrow Najib and become the primer minister.
(Malaysia Outlook) – Mukhriz Mahathir has been dared to swear on Al Quran to prove that he and his father, Dr Mahathir Mohamad, knew nothing on a plot by a certain group to sabotage the initial public offer (IPO) for 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Pokok Sena Umno division vice-chairman Haris Che Mat also challenged Mukhriz to swear on Muslim holy book that he did not desire to dislodge Najib Razak and fast track his elevation to the prime minister post
“I want Mukhriz to swear on Quran without any condition,” dared Haris, the former special officer to Mukhriz, in a strongly worded statement today.
Haris has reaffirmed a conspiracy theory that a certain group had sabotaged the IPO, hence financially strangle 1MDB, the state sovereign wealth fund, to use it as a weapon to attack Najib.
He called on Mukhriz not to be a munafiq (hypocrite), adding that unlike Mukhriz, he was not a traitor to Umno.
He pointed out that Mukhriz, not him, was now a member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu, which had collaborated with the DAP.
“I have remained as an Umno member but he is now in Parti Pribumi which had joined hands with the DAP.
“Now people know who has been the traitor to Umno and Malays.
“I wish to request Mukhriz not to be a munafiq,” said Haris, expressing regret against Mukhriz supporters for calling him a “traitor.”
Last week Haris has claimed that former premier Dr Mahathir real agenda was to overthrow Najib and fast track Mukhriz as the country’s prime minister.
He said people know that no politician would contest the post of vice-president in Umno with an ambition to become the prime minister.
He said many knew that Dr Mahathir had been secretive about his nominee for the premiership all along because “the candidate was Mukhriz.”
Haris insisted that he was not a hypocrite as it was not him who sabotaged the IPO-1MDB then lodged a police report in Dec 2014.
