Mahathir Now Realizes He Needs Najib To Save Mukhriz From The Political Abyss!

A few days ago I have written that Tun Mahathir needs new sugar daddy to save son (Mukhriz) political career (here).
Since that time, Tun Mahathir has withdrawn his civil lawsuit against the Prime Minister as well as sending another covert signal in saying that the Finance Ministry should not be under PM department. Clearly this seems to be a clear indication that he would cease his diminishing complaints about 1MDB and Prime Minister Najib Razak if the two (2) offices were separated.

All of these things translate to mean Tun Mahathir recognizes that he is defeated and is looking for a face saving way out of his self made quagmire and is in desperate need of help to save his Mukhriz’ career in politics.
Having exhausted all other avenues, Tun Mahathir has no choice other than to recognize that at this stage only Najib Razak can serve as Mukhriz’ sugar daddy. A quick recap shows that his jumping into bed with Lim Kit Siang was as painful as watching a rat trying to mate with a porcupines (I will let you work through that image)
Tun Mahathir’s walk about at Bersih 4, the Citizen’s Declaration and Save Malaysia all seemed like hastily put together bad scripts that only proved how desperate he (Tun Mahathir) had become. And throughout the whole ‘we are doing it doing it for Malaysia charade there was always the sickening feeling that the theatrics were all self serving.
On the heels of the above; the now removed civil lawsuit and non delivered 1 million plus signatures to the Agong were supposed bring the government to its knees or at least spark mass defections. However to the contrary, the government is now even stronger and there were no mass defections, but there were two (2) notable expulsions from UMNO; former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the former Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir.
Even having the foreign media attacking Prime Minister Najib Razak and 1MDB being investigated in the USA did not help bring about what Mahathir wanted; a Malaysia version of the Arab Spring that would usher out the Prime Minister and usher in a new government with the un-dynamic duo of Muhyiddin and Mukhriz as its head.
What may have brought the realization of his inevitable defeat to clarity was when Tun Mahathir went to the court to shake hands with Datuk Anwar Ibrahim. At that moment, it must have dawned on him that he has sunk lower than low. He was reaching out to someone who he said was immoral and yet he was there hoping to solicit aid to (let’s be honest) save his son!
At some point after that awkward encounter with Anwar Ibrahim, Tun Mahathir must have realized that if Anwar could not save himself, Sarawak, Kuala Kangsar or Sungai Besar; he was in no position to help him (Tun Mahathir) to save his son!
And with that realization, Tun Mahathir knew what he had to do in order to try and save Mukhriz; find a way to patch things up with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. He knows that doing so is the only avenue he has to rescue Mukhriz from political abyss.
