Amanah’s Alternative ‘Syariah’ Bill More Acceptable To DAP!

Kit Siang

(Malaysia Observer) – It appears that Parti Amanah Negera (Amanah) wants to put forth an alternative motion to the syariah law that is more acceptable.  The words ‘more acceptable’ for all means and purposes sounds like the motion is more acceptable to Lim Kit Siang and the DAP.

After being silent or as some may say neutered in their non response to PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang Private Member’s Bill during the Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar by-elections this year;  Amanah or their handlers now want to bring forth a motion that is more in line with what many think their DAP handler’s can accept.   And given the lack of outrage, complaint and criticism from the DAP; one can only speculate that it (Amanah’s perspective alternative motion) already has their (DAP) stamp of approval.

It hard to fathom those who were once part PAS have allowed themselves to be Muslim fronts to be used by others.  That is unless those who are among Amanah’s leadership find it comfortable to be in a subservient position to the DAP.  If not,  then it has to be frustrating to have once had a political voice while still with PAS to now only being a ventriloquist dummy in the hands of the DAP.

No doubt Amanah like former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin did not foresee how their fortunes would take a 180 degree reversal from what they had before.

In both cases (Amanah and Muhyiddin) peered through the window at what looked like the green (opportunity) hill on the other side.  However, after defecting from PAS to Pakatan Harapan (DAP) and Muhyiddin Yassin’s expulsion from UMNO, the green hill that they thought they saw awaiting them turned out not to be opportunity, but mold!

Today, neither those who make up parti Amanah nor Muhyiddin Yassin will come out and say that they wished they had not made the decisions which they had made as it is obvious that things have not turned out they way they had hoped.
