Jamal detained
Red Shirt leader Jamal Yunos brought to Dangi Wangi police station after been detained upon his arrival at KLIA from Dubai on Wednesday morning.
(Malaysia Outlook) – Red Shirt leader Jamal Yunos was detained at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) early Wednesday.
It’s learnt that Jamal was arrested upon landing at the KLIA at 8.30am after arriving from Dubai.
Jamal, who is also Sungai Besar Umno division chief, is learnt had been taken to Dang Wangi police station in Kuala Lumpur.
Reason for his arrest was not known, but lately Jamal has led Red Shirts to organise street rallies to counter the Yellow Shirts Bersih convoys.
Altercations have taken place during these Red Shirts versus Yellow Shirts confrontations.
On Oct 11, a police report was lodged against Jamal for a Facebook post allegedly threatening a repeat of the May 13, 1969 racial riots.
He has denied the post was made by him and claimed that it was posted from a fake account.
Several other police reports have also been lodged against him and the Red Shirts.
Police had sought Jamal over an incident in which individuals believed to be his supporters were recorded attacking Yellow Shirts in Sabak Bernam.
