(The Star) – The car of Bersih 2.0 chairman Maria Chin Abdullah’s son was splashed with red paint early Thursday morning.

Maria and her son are making a police report on the incident, said Bersih 2.0 committee member Mandeep Singh.

“We urge everyone to come together and reject this political violence,” he said in a statement.

On Tuesday, Maria received a profanity-filled death threat, together with photographs where her face had been superimposed over images of people being beheaded Islamic State-style.

Threats were also made against three of her sons, riling Maria who called it despicable.

Death threats were also sent to Human Rights Society president Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan and Mandeep.

Maria, however, has said that the Bersih 5 rally will go on as scheduled on Nov 19.

Bersih 2.0 will be handing over a memorandum of all the incidents to Bukit Aman at 4pm Thursday.
