John Pang: finally his link to Soros revealed

mt2014-corridors-of-power

I first met John Pang almost ten years ago when we met to discuss how to make Tengku Razaleigh the Prime Minister once Abdullah is ousted. The June 2008 SD regarding Rosmah being at the scene of Altantuya’s murder was aimed at disqualifying Najib so that Tengku Razaleigh could take over instead.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Earlier this year, John Pang wrote a report titled THE TPP AND MALAYSIA’S CORRUPTION CRISIS (READ HERE: MEMO on Malaysia.pdf).

Basically, John Pang’s paper is to support the campaign to lobby the United States to distance itself from Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak. More details of that story can be read in the Malaysiakini news report below dated 27th October 2016. The press conference by the United States Justice Department and the US Attorney General three months ago regarding 1MDB is also part of this anti-Najib campaign.

The next question many of you are going to ask is: who the hell is this John Pang? Well, this is what has been ‘officially’ written about him:

John Pang

John Pang is a senior fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Singapore, where he works on regional strategic and security issues. As a director in a major Southeast Asian banking group, he led policy engagement and founded an independent research institute and a council of regional business leaders.

He has served in direct advisory roles with leaders in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Burma. As a consultant, Pang has worked on state owned enterprise reform and special economic zone development and has led political risk advisory work in Southeast Asia. He is a member and former chair of the Global Agenda Council for Southeast Asia of the World Economic Forum.

Soros

Actually, more than five years ago back in April 2011, I had already written about John Pang, which you can read here:

NOW THAT THE SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN (READ HERE)

JOHN PANG YANG DISEBUT RPK ADALAH “CONMAN” (READ HERE)

Let me tell you how I first met John Pang and how I cooperated with him in the plot to oust Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and replace him with Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.

One day in 2007, I received a phone call from Dato’ Kamal Amir, one of Tengku Razaleigh’s men (as was his buddy Aspan Alias), who asked to meet for dinner at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. Kamal said he wanted to introduce me to one of Tengku Razaleigh’s masterminds (who I had never met yet) and a few minutes later a Chinaman walked up to our table and sat down. He was then introduced to my wife and me as John Pang.

The discussion was about the movement that had been set up to make Tengku Razaleigh Prime Minister once Abdullah is ousted — and for sure Abdullah is on the way out, they said. John Pang wanted to know whether I would join that movement. So I joined the movement and from that day on I was a ‘Ku Li for PM’ activist.

When I investigated John Pang’s background I was told to be very careful of him. He is one of Khairy Jamaluddin’s ‘Fourth Floor Boys’, they said, and he is a Trojan horse sent to infiltrate Tengku Razaleigh’s inner circle. Kamal, however, told me that that was before and now he is no longer with Khairy.

Anyway, on one occasion, I even brought Rafizi Ramli and a few other opposition activists such as Malik Imtiaz, etc., to attend one of those meetings at Tengku Razaleigh’s house, basically to discuss how to make Tengku Razaleigh the next Prime Minister. So in that sense we were not really a pro-Umno group and could be said to be opposition diehards.

So we did all sort of things to undermine Abdullah to try to get him ousted. One of the things we did was we supported Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s anti-Pak Lah movement (which was launched earlier in June 2006). We also planned the November 2007 Bersih march to the Agong’s Palace, Istana Negara.

The long and short of it was: harass Abdullah, put as much pressure on him as possible, divide Umno, create dissent and dissatisfaction, trigger chaos on the streets (such as Bersih and Hindraf), and once Abdullah is ousted Tengku Razaleigh would take over.

Soon after the March 2008 general election, Tengku Razaleigh called us for a meeting to tell us that Abdullah is definitely going, no two ways about it. However, Najib (and not Tengku Razaleigh) is going to take over instead. So we need to figure out how to block Najib from taking over.

And that was when the plan for the Statutory Declaration of June 2008 was mooted.

I have written about this so many times that some of you probably already know this story by heart. So, without repeating myself, let me just summarise by saying that we needed to disqualify Najib from becoming Prime Minister and the way we were going to do it was to link Rosmah Mansor to the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu. Hence the reason for that June 2008 SD.

In 2010, the Malaysian Special Branch contacted me and said they wanted to talk to me. At that time Haris Ibrahim a.k.a. Sam was in Manchester (he was staying in my house) so Sam can testify that I disappeared the whole afternoon to meet the Special Branch.

The Special Branch wanted to know the whole story behind my June 2008 SD — why I signed it, what the game-plan was, who were the people behind it, etc. So I told the Special Branch regarding the roles that Tengku Razaleigh, Anwar Ibrahim, John Pang, Nik Azmi Nik Daud a.k.a. Bul, Din Merican the blogger, and so on, played in that SD. My statement was recorded by the police, which I then signed.

Mahathir Soros

So, based on the latest revelation, it looks like John Pang is still very much involved in the plot to oust Najib, and with Soros behind him on top of that. It is now ten years since John Pang has been trying to oust Najib and make Tengku Razaleigh the Prime Minister. What was it again they say about someone doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results?

Soros anti-Najib lobby in Washington exposed in Wikileaks dump

(Malaysiakini, 27 October 2016) – The latest email dump by Wikileaks reveals efforts to lobby the United States administration to disassociate from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

This was revealed in email exchanges between Soros Fund Management (SFM) spokesperson Michael Vachon and 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign chairperson John Podesta.

The exchange between Podesta and Vachon revolved around a memo written by Open Society Global fellow John Pang, which among others urged the US administration to “disassociate” from Najib.

In a March 6 email with the subject “John Pang Memo”, Vachon told Podesta: “And I think George will want to talk about this, among other things”.

It is believed that he was referring to billionaire philanthropist and Clinton campaign donor, George Soros.

Vachon was communicating with Podesta to set up a meeting, which would also be attended by Soros’ son Alex.

Podesta forwarded the March 6 email to Clinton’s staffer Milia Fisher on the same day.

The emails were published by Wikileaks last Sunday.

Malaysiakini has contacted Vachon and Pang for comment.

Pang’s memo titled “The TPP and Malaysia’s Corruption Crisis” urges the Obama administration to disassociate from Najib.

“The administration should consider a plan to distance itself from Mr Najib.

“The open scandal around Najib has spiraled out of control and his position is unsustainable,” the memo reads.

“The (US) administration should understand where the Najib bus is headed, and find a place to get off soon rather.”

Pang is also a senior fellow at the Rajaratnam School of International Studies, where he works on regional strategic and security issues.

The memo also urged the US to call for the release of PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, who is in jail for sodomy.

“At a closed-door meeting with Mr Najib in Kuala Lumpur in November 2015, the president firmly requested the release of Mr Anwar, on health grounds, for medical treatment in Washington.

“Najib has not complied. That this is widely known in Malaysia and yet has not been complied with compounds President Obama’s loss of face there.

“The request must now be put in firmer terms,” he wrote.

Pang said Anwar’s presence in the US would be “strategic leverage against the repressive measures Najib is likely to inflict on Malaysians” if he survives as PM.

However, if Najib is forced to step down through what could be a “chaotic potentially violent process” Anwar could play a role in returning Malaysia to peace, Pang wrote.

“Mr Anwar could also be instrumental in forming a new government. It is important that the liberal and plural values that he stands for be protected,” he wrote.

He said Malaysia is in “uncharted waters”.

“There is no outcome that will bring back the prior status quo,” he wrote.

The memo also called for Trafficking In Persons (TIP) Report on human trafficking independent of the US’ intention to court Malaysia to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement.

He said by making the TPPA an overriding priority in its foreign policy decision in Malaysia, the US has “made visible compromises on principle that have set back Malaysia’s difficult transition to democracy”.

Malaysia’s upgrade in the TIP Report from Tier 3 to Tier 2 Watch List had been seen as a move to curry favour with the administration over the TPPA.
