Saturday Red Shirts rally is on, says Jamal
Red Shirts movement leader Jamal Yunos said the scheduled rally to warn Bersih 5.0 will still go on regardless of application to use Dataran Merdeka was rejected by DBKL.
(Malaysia Outlook) – Planned rally by the Red Shirts’ this Saturday will still go on despite being rejected by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to use Dataran Merdeka as its venue.
Red Shirts movement leader Jamal Yunos said, the initial plan to gather at Dataran Merdeka was rejected by DBKL as there was another event scheduled to take place there.
“We have also applied to use Padang Merbok or Tasik Titiwangsa and we are still waiting for their approvals,” NST Online reported as he saying when contacted.
The Red Shirts movement leader also said that they did apply to use Sultan Sulaiman Club as its venue but was also rejected.
“Only then did we learn that the president of the club is Selangor Mentri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali, so of course, they would not let us hold the assembly there.
