Penang DCM2 Ramasamy’s aide slams Johor Ruler
(Malaysia Outlook) – An aide to Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy has “told off” the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, that His Royal Highness cannot stop anyone from taking part in peaceful assembly.
In his Facebook posting, which he had subsequently removed, Satees Muniandy has told off Sultan Ibrahim that: “Know your limit. You have no power to stop anyone from taking part in any peaceful assembly.”
The Facebook timestamp showed that Satees had posted it at 8.19pm on Nov 3, 2016.
A check by MO today found that the posting had been removed.
In the FB posting status box, which had gone viral in the social media, Satees, in his early 30s, has reminded Sultan Ibrahim that the Johor Constitution was not higher than Federal Constitution and in fact, “no one is above that.”
He was referring to Article 10 (1) (b) of the Federal Constitution which guaranteed the right for Malaysians to assemble peacefully.
