Don’t try to push the Sultans

Sara

(NST) – The opposition leaders and supporters must really make up their minds as to what they want. On the one hand, they pester the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and insist that His Majesty gets involved in politics and sack the Prime Minister. When His Majesty the Agong refuses to get involved in politics, they turn to the Conference of Rulers and ask Their Highnesses to get involved instead.

During the Selangor Menteri Besar crisis, Pakatan Rakyat told His Highness the Sultan of Selangor that Sultans do not have the power to choose the Menteri Besar and that His Highness must bow to the wishes of the politicians. And now, DAP is telling the Sultan of Johor to shut up and not express his opinion when not too long ago they were singing Tengku Mahkota Johor’s praises and said he was the best Royal Malaysia ever had.

It appears that a Ruler is great when he supports the opposition and if he does not support the opposition then he is a bad Ruler. That is how the opposition measures the greatness of the Rulers and the Monarchs. And the opposition nowadays no longer has any qualms about demonstrating ‘kurang ajar’ to the Rulers, something you would never see pre-2008 before the opposition got too big for its shoes.

DAP says that Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is a pimp and a snake (read: http://www.malaysia-today.net/dap-delegate-dr-m-is-like-a-pimp-and-a-snake/). But this is the same Mahathir who they just recently said was going to save Malaysia and whom the DAP leaders embraced with open arms.

In 1993 Lim Kit Siang condemned Anwar Ibrahim and asked him to resign from office. In 1998 the same Lim Kit Siang appointed Anwar as the Prime Minister-in-waiting.

DAP says I am too young and too inexperienced to understand politics. You do not need to be old or a politician to understand that the opposition is so full of inconsistencies and nonsense that they must be fools to think that we are being fooled by them. Stop treating us like fools because we have more brains than you think we do.
