Satees to surrender at Bukit Aman today
Satees has reminded Sultan Ibrahim that the Johor Constitution was not higher than Federal Constitution.
(Malaysia Outlook) – DAP councillor M Satees will surrender himself at Bukit Aman police headquarters today afternoon over his Facebook posting against Sultan of Johor.
Speaking to Malaysia Outlook, Satees said he will be going to the federal police headquarters around 2.30 pm accompanied by lawyers Gunamalar and Paramjit.
Satees added that there are possibilities police would detain him during the statement recording.
He also apologised to anyone who felt offended with his posting.
The DAP Batu Kawan parliamentary division secretary said that he posted the remarks on his personal capacity and does not reflect on the party.
In his Facebook posting, Satees has “told off” Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar that His Royal Highness had no power to stop anyone from taking part in peaceful assembly in Johor.
