Ku Nan must sack Jamal from Umno

Why is an Umno leader free to head a violent group but ordinary members of the party are not free to take part in one of its activities?

As far as staging a political drama goes, Umno Secretary-General Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has shown us he has no class as a theatrical producer in his statement that Umno is studying footage of Saturday’s Bersih 5 and Red Shirts rallies to identify party members who took part and then subject them to disciplinary action.

In the days leading to the rallies, didn’t other ministers from Umno tell us clearly that those joining the Red Shirts would be doing so as individuals instead of party members? Some even openly told party members to join in.

It is interesting that Tengku Adnan, in issuing what was meant to be an ominous statement, did not specifically target the leader of the Red Shirts, Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Yunos.

Does he think that there is nothing wrong for an Umno division head to be the leader of the Red Shirts movement, which has demonstrated that it would use violence to stop people from taking part in the Bersih 5 rally?
