DAP MP questions Guan Eng’s CM position despite facing corruption charges
(Malaysia Outlook) – DAP MP for Tanjung Bungah questioned the Penang state government on allowing Lim Guan Eng to remain as chief minister of the state despite facing corruption charges.
Teh Yee Cheu said the right thing to do was to ask Guan Eng to go on temporary leave pending the outcome of his trial.
Bernama reported as Teh questioning this when debating the state’s 2017 Budget in the State Assembly yesterday.
Guan Eng is facing corruption charges pertaining to purchase of a bungalow at below market price and a land deal.
