Zahid likens opposition’s strategy to that of Nazis
In their attempt to destroy Umno, they want to make the public lose faith in the leaders and country’s institutions, says the Umno acting deputy president.
(FMT) – Umno acting deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has likened the opposition’s strategy to that of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi movement.
He said Malaysia’s success at being the only Muslim-led multiracial country in the world has made it an object of envy, not only to outsiders but also to those from within the country itself.
As a result, these green-eyed monsters have come up with all sorts of “story lines” to destroy the ruling party Umno, added Zahid.
“They have also created a story board to form a terrorism perception to make the public lose faith in their leaders and the country’s institutions, which are the backbone of our peace and harmony.
“I’m sure all of you have heard of Nazi Germany’s leader Adolf Hitler, who killed millions of Jews during the Second World War.
“Actually, his success came from effective propaganda strategies that are based on lies.
“The opposition’s plot appears to be quite similar,” he told the Umno general assembly at the Putra World Trade Centre here this evening.
He said the opposition parties have attempted to attract the public with their claims that the country is going bankrupt along with other “fabricated stories”.
This is the same technique used by Hitler who Zahid said once wrote: “If you are going to tell a lie, tell a big one and if you tell it often enough, people will begin to believe it.”
