MCA a toothache in search of root canal

MCA is the biggest toothache today for BN chairman Najib Razak.
MCA-owned newspaper The Star has a story today headlined ‘Umno stronger now with exit of detractors’.
BN too will be stronger tomorrow with the exit of its chief internal detractor MCA.
MCA — terrible toothache more painful than gout
Of late, MCA – ostensibly a BN component but acting like the opposition – has been aiming its sniper fire at head honcho Umno.
According to the MCA, “Umno should shoulder the responsibility” of the Chinese party’s massive loses in the last two elections.
“Most of the times, the results produced by MCA will be wiped out because of the Umno leaders’ words,” claimed MCA Youth sec-gen Leong Kim Soon.
In his Dec 3 press statement, Leong said:
“Every year during the Umno general assembly, Umno leaders will make extremist remarks and hurt the Chinese community, which led to the drop in the support from the Chinese voters. While other BN component parties have had to bear the consequences of their outrageous remarks. When there is a loss of Chinese votes, Umno will ultimately put all the blames on MCA and MCA became the scapegoat in the end.”
Berating Pemuda Umno vice chairman Khairul Azwan Harun for openly attacking the MCA president, Leong alleged that Umno not only lacked BN team spirit but also ridiculed other loser components even to the point of insults.
Khairul Azwan during his address to the youth wing delegates had taken MCA to task, complaining that the Chinese party refuses to challenge or counter the DAP.
Umno acting deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi earlier described the opposition (he was targeting DAP primarily) as Goebbels-like propagandists who tell big lies.
