Agong

(The Sun Daily) – Former premier Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad’s invitation to attend the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong installation on Dec 13 has been revoked.

A letter was sent on Dec 5 to Mahathir’s office at the Perdana Leadership Foundation, signed by the Keeper of the Ruler’s Seal Syed Danial Syed Ahmad.

The document has since gone viral and was also posted by Mahathir’s daughter, Marina Mahathir on her Facebook.

In response to her father’s predicament, she wrote: “Siapa sebenarnya akan tersipu-sipu nanti? #howlowcanugo (Who will be embarrassed?)”

In response to her outburst, some supporters rallied behind her in the comments section.

Sritharanee Subramaniam said “Oh God. Please respect our former PM. Please.” while Roy Au said, “Let the nation be the judge of this mind boggling decision.”

At press time, the documents have been shared more than 638 times.
