Shake up in Sabah BN political party
(MMO) – A Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) division chief has quit and more are expected to do so following the birth of several new Opposition parties that has shaken the political landscape in this north Borneo state.
PBS secretary-general Datuk Johnny Mositun confirmed the resignation of Rakam Sijim as Sulaman division chief early this month amid talks that at least six more would follow suit, The Borneo Post reported today.
“Rakam’s letter was dated December 5, 2016 and was sent to the party headquarters yesterday. In it he also expressed his gratitude to PBS and its leaders for their support and guidance all this while,” Mositun was quoted saying.
He added that the party has yet to receive the resignation letters of other division leaders rumoured will be quitting.
