Pakatan Harapan to meet Dec 13 on new coalition with Pribumi

(The Star) – Parti Amanah Negara is committed to a united Opposition pact with DAP, PKR and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia in the coming general election.

“We are committed to form a united party logo, one manifesto, and one movement,” Amanah president Mohamad Sabu said at the Amanah National Convention on Saturday.

He said Amanah was ready to weather the challenge with its allies in Pakatan Harapan.

“Amanah will continue to be anchored on gentleman politics, sorting out differences in opinion and continue its struggle with Pakatan towards political change in the country,” he said.

At a press conference later, Mohamad or Mat Sabu (pic) clarified that the one logo issue was still being discussed with other Opposition parties.

“We will work towards it but right now it is still in a discussion stage,” he said.

Amanah deputy president Salahudin Ayub said one logo should be used to face Barisan Nasional in the election.

“We will submit our suggestions to the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to be formalised.

“If RoS just ignores or rejects then we will have to decide on one of the (Pakatan) parties logo,” he said.

Salahudin said the opposition would meet on Dec 13 to finalise the formation of a new coalition.

“If Pribumi agrees to join Pakatan then there will be a new Pakatan.

“Amanah, DAP and PKR and Pribumi, then there is four (parties) already,” he said.
