Najib was never involved in Sodomy 2 – ex-IGP Musa Hassan
Former IGP Musa Hassan clear PM Najib name in Sodomy 2 case.
(FMT) – Prime Minister Najib Razak was never involved in any way in Anwar Ibrahim’s Sodomy 2 case, former IGP Musa Hassan told a press conference in Petaling Jaya today.
The ex-IGP stressed that Najib had no control over the Sodomy 2 investigation.
“Najib was never involved or interfered in police investigation
“Police have acted solely based on complainant’s report and statement.
“None of the politicians are involved in the police investigation and we will not allow such chances to take place,” Musa clarified when asked by reporters on whether Najib was involved in the Sodomy 2 case, as claimed by certain quarters.
“I wish to stress here that we (civil servants) are nobody’s running dogs.”
Musa was the IGP and Najib was the deputy prime minister when Anwar’s Sodomy 2 case first emerged after Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan lodged a police report that the PKR leader had sodomised him in 2008.
Former PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim is currently serving a five-year jail term in the Sungai Buloh Prison after the Federal Court on Feb 10, 2015, upheld his conviction and sentence imposed by the Court of Appeal.
On Dec 14, the Federal Court led by Chief Justice of Malaya Zulkefli Ahmad Makinudin dismissed former PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim’s bid to judicial review his sodomy conviction.
In pointing out his judgment, Justice Zulkefli said it was a review of Federal Court’s decision and the appellant had raised the issue of miscarriage of justice.
