How M’sian liberals shoot from behind shield of Three Stooges

The three stooges MCA, DAP and Gerakan are only adding to the confusion floating in the mind of their respective Chinese constituents or generally speaking, the non-Muslims.

Rubbing salt on the Muslim wound is the flowery claim by the Three Stooges of purporting to uphold the federal constitution when it’s their own rhetoric that is unconstitutional.

And now comes the turn of Gerakan to grab the headlines. Dominic Lau Hoe Chai (pix below), the Gerakan vice president, in his latest statement reflected a similar line of idiocy typically characteristic of MCA and DAP.

Gerakan, says Lau, wants presently a review of government-funded Islamic religious schools. It claims that the Muslim students there are indoctrinated with extremist views.

The party is essentially biased in favour of Chinese schools as something positive and Islamic schools as something negative.

in his defence of Chinese schools, Dominic Lau seems to be without the slightest appreciation of how the vernacular education system has worsened the divide between Malaysians of different races.

Lau appears furthermore ignorant of Article 12(2) of our constitution which provides for special access to funding for Islamic institutions in respect of education. It is clearly stated therein that:

“(2) Every religious group has the right to establish and maintain institutions for the education of children in its own religion, and there shall be no discrimination on the ground only of religion in any law relating to such institutions or in the administration of any such law; but it shall be lawful for the Federation or a State to establish or maintain or assist in establishing or maintaining Islamic institutions or provide or assist in providing instruction in the religion of Islam and incur such expenditure as may be necessary for the purpose.”

MCA, DAP and Gerakan should be wise to remember that Malays or Muslims are the majority citizens and to try building bridges over the gulf of their racial fundamentalism.
