Mahathir whines when the tables are turned on him!
(The Malaysian Observer) – Tun Mahathir began to whine today after learning the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) report names Mahathir’s administration possible involvement in the Bumiputera Malaysia Finance Limited (BMF) scandal.
Mahathir whining about the CIA is persecuting him because of his critique of US policy is like the bully who is fine when he is picking on others, but complains when the tables are turned and he gets what everyone knows he deserves.
The irony is that over the last several years, Tun Mahathir and his cohorts which include Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, former deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin and a host of others making up DAP-led Pakatan Harapan have been on an endless campaign to smear the name and reputation of Prime Minister Tan Seri Najib Razak.
What makes the case against Tun Mahathir’s administration particularly ironic is that the CIA report links to a financial (Bumiputera Malaysia Finance Limited (BMF) scandal which is what Mahathir and co-conspirators tried without success to do to Prime Minister Najib Razak; link him to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). The anti-Najib group had even gone as far as trying to elicit the US justice department to say the Prime Minister was somehow involved in misappropriating 1MDB funds. However, Mahathir came up empty in that scheme as the US Justice Department did not name the Prime Minister in their report.
In stark contrast to Mahathir’s rants, WSJ fabrications and other manufactured allegations against the Prime Minister, what many have noted is that the Prime Minister has never whined. Conversely, when Tun Mahathir or his administration is put under a microscope he cries, complains or say that he is being demonetized.
Mahathir’s response to today’s CIA report, Mahathir report was no different. Mahathir says that the report is political and that some people might benefit from it.
