Guan Eng gila talak
Guan Eng is what Malays would call gila talak. After divorcing PAS he now wants PAS back in his bed. PAS can agree to work with Pribumi (and it is Pribumi that wants PAS) but it has to be without DAP and PAN. Pribumi will also have to agree to not oppose RUU355. If Pribumi can agree to that then they can have PAS in their bed. If not then Pribumi can go sleep in DAP’s bed but without PAS.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Lim Guan Eng appears to be suffering from a disease the Malays call ‘gila talak’. This happens when you divorce your wife and then you start pining after her like a sick puppy and cannot eat or sleep out of rindu for your ex-wife. And today Guan Eng demonstrated very severe symptoms of this mental disorder.

DAP: BENCI TAPI RINDU
But then we had already suspected for some time that most DAP leaders and supporters are suffering from some sort of mental condition or another. For example, they still insist that Malaysia is a secular country although the word ‘secular’ never appears even once in the Federal Constitution of Malaysia.
Secular means separation of church and state but then Malaysia has Sharia laws alongside common or civil laws. At one time common or civil laws were above Sharia laws but then Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad changed that and elevated Sharia laws to be at par with common or civil laws. And since then, of course, Malaysia has faced a lot of problems when a case goes to court and one spouse or ex-spouse is Muslim and the other non-Muslim.
The beauty about this whole situation is that it was Mahathir who caused it. And now DAP’s leaders and supporters want Mahathir to lead the opposition and help ‘save Malaysia’. That is called delusional and is yet another mental disorder that the DAP people are suffering from.
On 29th September 2001 (at the Gerakan annual assembly), and again on 17th June 2002 (in Parliament), Mahathir announced that Malaysia is a Muslim country. So that means Malaysia is not a secular country like what the DAP people are saying. Lim Kit Siang was pretty upset about this and he wrote in his blog on 17th June 2002:
The latest announcement by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in Parliament today that Malaysia is not a moderate Islamic state but an Islamic fundamentalist state is most shocking beyond belief. I call on the MCA, Gerakan, MIC, SUPP, PBS and other Barisan Nasional component parties to make a clear and unequivocal stand that they are against the “929 Declaration” that Malaysia is an Islamic state made by Mahathir at the Gerakan national assembly on September 29 last year as well as the Prime Minister’s latest announcement that Malaysia is not a “moderate Islamic state” but “an Islamic fundamentalist state”.
Mahathir announced that Malaysia is an Islamic country and elevated the status of the Sharia court
DAP blames Mahathir for the current state of affairs in Malaysia, in particular regarding Islam. But then DAP wants Mahathir to lead the opposition and ‘save’ Malaysia. In spite of the 5,000 years of Chinese civilisation and the more superior Chinese schools and Chinese education system the DAP people are still as dumb as jackasses. These DAP people are really suffering from a serious case of mental block, a third disorder afflicting the DAP people.
Anyway, today Guan Eng expressed his disappointment that the PAS-Pribumi (a.k.a. PPBM) talks yesterday did not go far. At first they announced the ‘success’ of the talks and then they did a u-turn and said they are only still just talking and nothing has been agreed yet. Today, however, Guan Eng revealed that the talks have more or less failed.
Actually, the PAS-Pribumi talks were never sanctioned by the party in the first place. It was only a group of ‘independent’ PAS leaders who were trying their luck to see what would happen, a sort of fishing expedition to see if the fish would bite. You cast your net wide and see what you can catch. In this case they caught nothing yesterday. You can read more about it here:

Guan Eng also gives an impression that DAP was not aware of yesterday’s PAS-PPBM talks and did not give their prior-approval for any talks. In this report (PPBM-PAS talks hit stalemate, says Guan Eng), Guan Eng said, “We have given our views as a member of Pakatan Harapan (on PAS cooperation). We were not told about it before, but only read about the talks in newspapers.”
Tuan Ibrahim was on a rogue mission not sanctioned by the party and was forced to do a u-turn later
Then Guan Eng tried to explain why the PAS-PPBM talks failed by blaming it on internal problems within PAS. “The talks between Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) and PAS appear to have hit a stalemate and this could be because of disagreements in the Islamist party’s top leadership,” Guan Eng said, so more or less blaming the failure on PAS and specifically due to the internal problems in the party.
The report went on to say:
“He (Mukhriz) explained to me about what happened, but when I saw him, he seemed a bit confused about PAS’ stand on things,” Lim told reporters during a visit to Kuantan Road here today. Lim said Mukhriz’s confusion is understandable, as it was likely caused by disagreement between PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
“When I read the BN newspapers today, I understand the situation better. It appears the president and his deputy have clashed on the their thoughts on the matter. But I am sure he (Mukhriz) will continue with his discussions,” Lim said.
So what Guan Eng is saying is that the party president, Abdul Hadi Awang, and his deputy, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, are not on the same page and differ in direction and opinion. Does this mean, yet again, PAS is going to split into two like in 2015 and that we are going to see, yet again, another PAS splinter party called Amanah version 2.0?
Tak habis-habis DAP nak pecahkan PAS! DAP is going all out to make sure that Umno breaks into two, PAS breaks into three after already breaking into two, and that Umno and PAS do not come to any agreement on anything but continue fighting so that Malays can be split into eight groups while the Chinese are all united under DAP.
Actually what Guan Eng is not revealing (which means that makes him a dishonest person) is that PAS has no problems working with Umno and/or PPBM on condition that they state their stand regarding RUU355. PKR has already done that in March 2015, which is why PAS can still work with PKR although PAS is not a member of Pakatan Harapan.
In principle PKR does not oppose Hudud or the RUU355
This was what Fahmi Fadzil, PKR’s Communications Chief, said on 23rd March 2015:
“We do not, as Muslims, reject Hudud as a concept, but we subscribe to the Principles of Priority, principles of Fiqh awlawiyyat, the science of priority jurisprudence, that has been articulated by Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, which means that there are three conditions in society that must be met before something like Hudud is implemented.”
“PKR’s stand is for more complete reforms that have to be seen in society including the alleviation of poverty, establishment of social justice, a more equitable distribution of wealth and these must be the conditions for a society to make sure that people do not commit crimes because of the conditions of society, it’s kind of a socio-political-economic philosophy.”
“There is also the matter of Maslahat Ummah (public interest) and the Maqasid Shariah (higher objectives of shariah). It’s not a rejection of Hudud, but in time perhaps, the principal project right now is about the public’s debt, low household incomes, and the economic condition in society is not at the place where it is suitable for the implementation of hudud.”
So there you are. PKR does not in principle reject Hudud or the Sharia-RUU355. It is just a matter of timing and one day it will happen.
Zaid Ibrahim opposes the Sharia and will join DAP to oppose it
Zaid Ibrahim said, “The implementation of Hudud in the vein as the Taliban ‘invading’ Malaysia and that it must be resisted by all Malaysians.” In fact, Zaid did just that in 1993 when he took the Kelantan Government to court regrading the Sharia Amendment Bill that was passed by the Kelantan State Assembly.
This was reported by Malaysiakini on 11th July 2002:
The Federal Court today granted leave to a lawyer cum politician to apply for a declaration to nullify Kelantan’s 1993 Syariah Criminal Code (II) Enactment. The court also granted the leave to Mohamed Zaid Ibrahim to seek another declaration that the PAS-led state government has no legislative power to make any criminal laws.
Because of that the Kelantan Sharia Code was blocked and the RUU355 is actually an amendment to that — the Kelantan Sharia Code that Zaid Ibrahim went to court to block. And now Zaid is with DAP. And it was DAP who in 2015 closed down Pakatan Rakyat so that PAS could be kicked out.
Benci tapi rindu
DAP then formed Pakatan Harapan and sponsored and financed the formation of the PAS-splinter party, PAN (a.k.a. Amanah), to replace PAS in the new opposition coalition that PAS is excluded from. In short, DAP killed Pakatan Rakyat and tried to kill PAS and is still trying to kill PAS. But at the same time DAP wants PAS to make a deal with Pribumi.
PAS can agree to make a deal with Pribumi on condition that Pribumi divorces DAP and PAN plus Pribumi makes a public announcement that it is not opposed to RUU355. That means the new coalition has to be PAS, PKR and Pribumi minus DAP and PAN. If Pribumi can agree to that, and also agree to not oppose RUU355, then a new opposition coalition called Pakatan Lebih Harapan can be formed to face the next general election on a straight fight or one-to-one basis.
The ball is now at Pribumi’s feet so it is up to them to decide the next move. PAS can no longer sleep in the same bed with DAP and PAN. If Pribumi wants PAS in the same bed then is has to exclude DAP and PAN. Is Pribumi agreeable to that? If not then Pribumi can continue sleeping with DAP and PAN and PAS will be free to look for any other partner who shares their same ideals.
We must remember that PAS did not divorce DAP or Pakatan Rakyat. It was DAP who divorced PAS and closed down Pakatan Rakyat. DAP then formed a new coalition called Pakatan Harapan and chose PAN as their new partner in bed. So, if Pribumi wants PAS back in their bed, it has to be on PAS’s terms or no deal. Now tell me, surely even idiots like those DAP fellows can understand such a simple thing like that!
